February 27, 2008

For all 8 of you who read this blog:o), I have a blessing to share that might sound peculiar, but I'm going to share it anyway!

Last week I was casually talking with my friend how I wanted to buy some Road To Avonlea DVDs to take back with me to Thailand. Well today that same friend sent me this e-mail:

Hey Anne!

If you have already ordered Road to Avonlea on DVD, go online right now and cancel it! I talked with my mom yesterday, and we are both in full agreement - We want you to have our RTA dvds for your stay in Thailand. It just doesn't make sense that you would have to spend money that you are carefully "hoarding" to buy something that we already have and that would spend most of the year collecting dust on my shelf. We have watched the episodes OVER and OVER again, and we tend to forget they are even there. When we bought these DVDs - expensive as they were - we knew that we would be lending them out to people which would make up for how much we paid for them. It would be saving others the expensive of buying them. Sooooooo....that is what we want to do for you now! These DVDs have already spent about 6 months in South Africa, and I think they are anxious to see another part of the world now. I would like to think that this is my way of "contributing" towards your trip. As I think of all the fun you, the girls, Mrs. Gaudet, and even Mr. Gaudet are going to have watching them, it makes me so happy. Although I am not exactly giving money, as I think about the calculations - 7 RTA seasons at $40 - $60 per season, if it was actually in cash, I would be giving $280 - $420 towards your trip. So I hope you'll agree...my mom and I won't take "no" for an answer anyway....and I sincerely hope they will be a blessing to you and your Thailand "family" during the evenings....a nice break from a crazy day.
That might seem strange to you, but it shows me that the Lord cares about the smallest thing! Just as He sees a sparrow fall to the ground and knows the hairs on my head, so too does He know the desires of my heart and gives them to me!

So thank you dear friend (and her mom!) What a sweet blessing.

I'm more and more convinced that each step I take is noticed by the Lord; and in fact, each step is counted by the Lord: "Doth not he see my ways, and count all my steps?" ~ Job 31:4

From one of the 8...
That is a blessing. It's wonderful that you see it as a blessing.
It's a great idea to record all these "steps" to look back on.
God bless.
